About Lynda Chebbihi

My Journey

My professional, academic and voluntary experiences have shaped a deep understanding of how traumatic events, such as war, natural disasters, sudden or violent loss, childhood abuse and sexual abuse, can profoundly shape our coping strategies and affect our mental health. These adverse events can shatter your sense of safety and identity, leaving you feeling lost, dissociated, or even suicidal.

My Mission

For some individuals, trauma does not stay in the past. It can leave deep psychological, emotional and somatic imprints. If not addressed, trauma can resurface months or even years later through the automatic nervous system being triggered by challenging situations. This can lead the body to shift into survival or protective mode.

My mission is to support you through one-to-one therapy as you make sense of your current experience, gently expanding your window of tolerance and helping you build grounding techniques that help you restore a sense of safety. Together, we process traumatic memories, repair developmental and attachment wounds, and re-integrate new, healthier narratives and patterns into your sense of self and your relationships. Ones that feel more authentic and aligned with who you truly are.

A Qualified Psychotherapist

I am a qualified Applied Psychologist, a Person-Centred Counsellor, and a Certified Clinician Trauma Professional. My practice is framed within a humanistic epistemolgy while adhering to BACP ethical standards.

I integrate various therapeutic interventions and tools from other modalities, such as EMDR, DBT, CBT, play therapy, neuroscience, somatic, and parts work skills, to support the treatment of trauma tailored to your unique healing journey, while ensuring inclusivity and cultural sensitivy.
